A little late, but here is the first part of week 5. With it, we have as usual Natsume Yuujinchou San, Ikoku Meiro no Croiseé, Sacred Seven, and Uta no Prince-sama. Another song, another spirit, another darkstone, and more lessons learned. Click the jump to see what is happening with the 5th episode of these shows.
At first, the episode seemed like it would be a break from the usual. In a way it is. There are still spirits that Natsume has to deal with, but in this episode we get to see Taki and Tanuma. The two get to play a fairly important role in the 5th episode of Natsume Yuujinchou San. I’m really glad we get to see them again. Nyanko-sensei doesn’t play too big of a role, but he still plays a somewhat decent bodyguard for Natsume.
Anyway, in this episode Tanuma and Natsume are running to find shelter when it starts to rain, and they just happen upon Taki’s house. It doesn’t seem to rain very long, because after a quick snack break, Tanuma and Natsume help clean part of the house that Taki’s parents refuse to go to. A lot of items in there are to ward spirits off, which freaked out Natsume and Tanuma many times. While they were cleaning, Natsume saw an upside down picture of a kappa, turned it right side up, and ended up releasing a spirit. So the three of them had to go chasing after the kimono-spirit, to try to stop it from getting the rest of its limbs and from hurting Natsume.
Nyanko-sensei, as usual, came just in time to fend off the kimono-spirit and drive it away before it hurt Natsume.
Do not smile at customers. Do not trust customers who smile. These are the lessons that Yune learned in this week’s episode of Ikoku Meiro no Croiseé. I couldn’t help but laugh at these lessons. I guess they could be true, but I’m used to going to a store and expecting someone to ask if I’m finding everything okay or at least a smile. I’m definitely with Yune on how she thinks of how to please a customer. It’s obviously not that way everywhere, or at least that’s how things used to be.
When the young boy, who always looked into the shop, finally went in, he stole an item before running off. Yune, who felt bad for allowing the kid to steal when she had been warned about him, ran after him. She wasn’t able to catch him, but she did find out that Paris can be scary. Especially with Claude’s words of warning. Not only that, but when she knew she should head back to the shop, she couldn’t remember how to get back. Yune sure can’t find a break at all. Claude was able to find her in the end, and she met some of Claude’s friends, who Yune had been afraid of. She learned that sometimes she needs to be careful of whom she associates with, but that there are also people she can trust.
Sacred Seven
It’s the beach episode and Wakana is collecting rocks. That’s not what I would be doing at the beach, nor what the others decide to do. All the other girls go straight to the beach to swim, relax, and just have fun. Tandoji and Kagami, on the other hand, were taking care of cooking the food and keeping a watch out for darkstones. Everything was going well until Wakana found the entrance to a cave. She wanted to go searching in the cave in case there were any awesome rocks, but luckily she was talked out of it. Instead Kagami went to go check it out and destroy any darkstones that they had sensed from the cave.
Tandoji had to promise that he would take care of Ruri and the others, making sure that no harm would come to Ruri especially. Of course, Ruri running on her own to try to help Kagami when she knows that he is in trouble doesn’t help much. So Tandoji runs after her and they fall through the ground, which opened up beneath them. They get separated and Kagami is mad at Tandoji for not keeping his promise, but when Kagami and Ruri are in trouble with a strong darkstone, Tandoji is the only one able to help them. Kagami is upset about it, but mainly because he knows that Ruri really cares about Tandoji.
Uta no Prince-sama
An audition to act with Hyouga, Sho’s teacher and idol, in an action movie. Sho wants to try his luck in the audition to be able to act with Hyouga. He was lucky enough to get him as a homeroom teacher, but he does not have much luck with passing the audition. If he could get over his fear of heights, he would have a good chance. Well, as long as the group does not go along with Natsuki’s ideas, which of course they do. Instead of helping out, they manage to freak Sho out more. I would be freaked out as well if they made me bungee jump or even to jump out a plane. Easing him into facing his fears would have been the best way to go, but Natsuki is a little over the top with his ideas.
The songs keep coming with every guy the episodes focus on. Though this time they put in a treat for the viewers. After they figured out why Sho was afraid of heights, which they were able to do with the help of the headmaster’s hypnotism, Natsuki got Sho ready for the audition. The audition, as they found out, was for a part that Sho did not want to play. After all, what guy would want to play a female? Either way he was dressed up as a girl and was even told that his idol was looking for someone like him to play the sister.
